The Cleveland Browns , unfortunately, have to understand that the quarterback situation just hasn't gone as planned over much of the past decade.
For the Browns now, whether they want to give the keys to Deshaun Watson or Shedeur Sanders for next season, there’s still value in possibly adding another young quarterback, whether that be in the NFL Draft or via a trade. And according to the latest from Zac Jackson, going after a young quarterback is something the Browns could possibly do. “At the owners’ meetings this week, Browns general manager Andrew Berry said if the team adds another quarterback, it will probably be a young player.
That most likely means any addition would come via the draft, though the Browns could also make an addition via trade either during or just after the draft. ” It's a very tough situation for the Browns to be in, but there's reason to believe that if they were to find a good quarterback in the draft that they believe they can develop, they should go that route. Whether that be in the first round, second round, or anywhere else, or even trying to trade up to select said quarterback, the Browns have a lot of different ways they could go.
I'm unsure if we should trust them a whole lot after what we've seen over the past few years on that front, but something has to give here, and hopefully, eventually, the Browns get it right.
