Dodgers Top Pitching Prospect Gets Call-up

The Los Angeles Dodgers promoted No. 7 prospect Jackson Ferris to Triple-A on Tuesday, when he is set to make his debut at the level. Ferris, 22, came to the Dodgers along with Zyhir Hope in the trade which sent Michael Busch to the Chicago Cubs in 2024.

He began his time with the Dodgers that season, posting a 3. 20 ERA across High-A and Double-A as he won the Dodgers’ Minor League Pitcher of the Year award for that season, and had a 3. 86 ERA through 26 appearances in 2025 in his first full season at Double-A.

2 innings in two appearances in the Cactus League. He struck out one batter in that time and didn’t allow a run through either appearance. While in spring training, Ferris said he wanted to give the Dodgers no choice but to call him up to the big leagues in 2026.

“At the end of the day I’ve got to force their hand,” Ferris told Dodgers Nation’s Doug McKain . “Do what I can do, and hopefully at the end of the day this year could be the year. ” Additionally, Ferris detailed how he planned to improve for the new season.
