Nets remain 28th in NBA.com's power rankings heading into last week
The Brooklyn Nets remain 28th in NBA.com's power rankings heading into the last week of the regular season.
The Brooklyn Nets have four games left in their 2025-26 NBA season before they break for the summer and hope they get lucky when it comes to the 2026 NBA Draft. Brooklyn has been using this season to evaluate the rookies and the younger players on the roster, but it seems like their rookie class could be viewed as an intriguing one heading into the offseason. "While none of the Nets ’ five first-round rookies have made it clear that they’re a starting-caliber player, none had a terrible first season, either," John Schuhmann wrote for NBA.
com while doing his weekly power rankings. The Nets retained the 28th spot on the rankings list and given that the regular season is almost at its end, Schuhmann gave his thoughts on Brooklyn's rookie class as a whole. "Egor Demin is the most intriguing of the five, with some flashes of great shooting, and is one of only two rookies who have shot better than 38% on at least 200 attempts from beyond the arc," Schuhmann continued.
"Nolan Traore, meanwhile, looked much better after some extended time in the G League than he did prior, making some advanced passes . Ben Saraf looks like he belongs, and you can see the 3-and-D path forward for Drake Powell. It’s obviously going to be a huge summer of development for all of them.
" To Schuhmann's point, the Nets undertook a massive task by going into this season with the goal of evaluating five first-round rookies, the largest first-round class in the history of the league. Demin and Traore have shown some impressive parts of his game while Powell, Saraf, and Wolf have had interesting stretches when they have been thrust into a bigger role within the rotation. While projecting how rookies will look at their best is still a work-in-progress at this point, the Nets should feel confident about their rookie class as a whole.
