We are almost two full weeks into the Major League regular season, and there remain dozens of unsigned free agents available on the market. Most of them are veterans holding out for a job despite below-average play in recent seasons. The Colorado Rockies , a rebuilding club that's not expected to be in the postseason race, could be a good landing spot for players in that situation.
Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer lists a former New York Yankees and New York Yankees right-handed starting pitcher as someone the NL West club could take a chance on. The Yankees cut ties with the 34-year-old last season after he posted a 6. 23 ERA with 44 hits allowed in nine starts. It was just three seasons ago that Stroman earned an All-Star selection with the Chicago Cubs .
