We are almost two full weeks into the Major League regular season, and there remain dozens of unsigned free agents available on the market. Most of them are veterans holding out for a job despite below-average play in recent seasons. The Colorado Rockies , a rebuilding club that's not expected to be in the postseason race, could be a good landing spot for players in that situation.

Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer lists a former New York Yankees and New York Yankees right-handed starting pitcher as someone the NL West club could take a chance on. Rockies named best landing spot for All-Star free agent "Whether [Marcus] Stroman himself would agree with this is a fair question, but call it a case of worthwhile wishcasting on our part," Rymer wrote Tuesday, naming the Rockies as the best landing spot for Stroman.

The Yankees cut ties with the 34-year-old last season after he posted a 6. 23 ERA with 44 hits allowed in nine starts. It was just three seasons ago that Stroman earned an All-Star selection with the Chicago Cubs .
