Eagles land star WR in Peter Schrager's 'what I'm hearing' mock draft
In Shrager's initial Round 1 predictions, he has Philadelphia landing the Washington Huskies' star wide receiver, Denzel Boston.
We're now just 16 days away from the Las Vegas Raiders spending five short minutes on the clock before they select Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 pick. The draft really gets close when Peter Shrager releases his first mock draft for the 2026 class.
Eagles GM Howie Roseman is a huge supporter of trading up and down the draft boards, no matter the round or the assets at his disposal. Roseman, known for never sitting still, has always been an active draft-night trader and will likely make a move or two in rounds 1-3. Roseman has conducted over 60 draft-day trades over the past ten years, not including the 2015 draft when coach Chip Kelly snatched personnel control.
The draft really gets close when Peter Shrager releases his first mock draft for the 2026 class. Shrager normally does one mock draft days before Thursday's Round 1, but he'll drop two in the coming weeks. For his first ESPN mock, Shrager's 32 projections are based on what "he's hearing" rather than what he would personally do at each slot.
Nothing is set in stone quite yet, which is why I'll have a second mock draft in two weeks. But for now, this is my best guess for how things could play out. In Shrager's initial Round 1 predictions, he has Philadelphia landing the Washington Huskies ' star wide receiver, Denzel Boston.
