The Washington Huskies added their 11th commitment of the 2027 class with the pledge of Desert Edge (Ariz.) quarterback Blake Roskopf.

Washington's stellar 2027 recruiting class now has its quarterback. Jedd Fisch and his staff landed a commitment from four-star passer Blake Roskopf out of Desert Edge (Ariz) on Tuesday, bringing in the No. 12 quarterback in the 2027 class, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Roskopf is the second player ranked in the Composite top 200 to commit to Washington, following Sumner (Wash. ) wide receiver Braylon Pope. Roskopf, who visited Seattle for Junior Day in early March and was crystal-balled to Washington by Brandon Huffman of Rivals on Monday, chose Washington over North Carolina, Oregon, Georgia, Tennessee, UCLA, and Indiana, among others.

Primarily a pocket passer, Roskopf "shows easy velocity, can get the ball down the field with little wasted motion," per former 247Sports analyst Greg Biggins' evaluation . He plays his prep ball with fellow Washington commit Zerek Sidney, a four-star recruit who committed to the Huskies in late January. The Huskies have been busy adding pieces on offense, as Roskopf's addition now makes four of the top five recruits in the 2027 class on that side of the ball.

Pope, Sidney, and Roskopf are joined by four-star running back Jeremy Adeyanju, with four-star defensive lineman Jon Ioane the lone defensive player atop Washington's class rankings. With Demond Williams Jr. potentially off to the NFL next offseason, Roskopf could factor in rather quickly for playing time.
