Kentucky basketball starting guard re-enters transfer portal
Denzel Aberdeen started 35 games with the Wildcats after winning a national title at Florida last year, but he's now back in the transfer portal.
One of last offseason's top transfer acquisitions is back on the market. On Tuesday, Kentucky guard Denzel Aberdeen re-entered the transfer portal after one season with the Wildcats. Aberdeen, who played his fourth season this year, will need a waiver to receive eligibility for the 2025-26 season.
Aberdeen was a rotational player on last year's national championship Florida Gators team, but he entered the transfer portal after the season and was one of UK's top offseason additions. He had a bit of a slow start in Lexington, but he ultimately averaged 13. 5 points, 3.
4 assists and 2. 5 rebounds (all career highs) this season. NEW: Kentucky guard Denzel Aberdeen has entered the NCAA transfer portal, @PeteNakos reports.
