Boykin comes over from South Florida, where she had been on staff since the 2023-24 season. Her time in Tampa ended up cut short by the departure of head coach Jose Fernandez to the Dallas Wings in late October 2025 and the Bulls moved forward with a new head coach this spring. Boykin also spent a season as an assistant at Loyola-Chicago as well as a pair of years at Cal State Northridge as a full fledged assistant coach.
She was also on staff at San Diego State for two years as a graduate assistant before that. She can bring a value add to the staff by way of four years of high major competition in college basketball. Boykin played 113 games for LSU from 2011 through 2015 , ending up as a part-time starter her senior year.
