Contreras has been hit by the Brewers 24 times in his career, and six times by Woodruff. He took exception to the pitch and had some words for Woodruff during the game. After the game, he sent an unmistakable threat to Brewers players.
โThey always say, โIโm not trying to hit you. โ That gets old,โ Contreras said. โSo next time they hit me again, Iโm going to take one of them out.
Thatโs the message. โ โI took exception with it, the 24th time. Itโs not a coincidence,โ he said after the game.
