According to MLB. com's Tim Stebbins , the Guardians have placed shortstop Gabriel Arias on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain. In a corresponding move, Juan Brito was promoted from Triple-A and will make his Major League debut on Tuesday against the Kansas City Royals .

The 24-year-old will play second base and bat sixth, right behind first baseman Rhys Hoskins. Many fans may have hoped to see Travis Bazzana, Cleveland's top prospect , get the call to the big leagues, but the Guardians are using a patient approach with the 23-year-old, who began the season at Triple-A.
