LSU women's basketball loses veteran guard to the transfer portal
LSU women's basketball is losing another guard to the transfer portal, but the Tigers roster remains in a good spot.
A second LSU women's basketball guard entered the transfer portal. Kailyn Gilbert will go in search of a new school, per a report from On3's Talia Goodman. Gilbert played in five games before taking an extended leave from the team during the 2025-26 season.
She totaled 28 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds, shooting 32% from the field. During the 2024-25 season, her first in Baton Rouge, Gilbert played in 37 games and averaged 9. 1 points per game.
