The Philadelphia 76ers discuss the struggles of Tyrese Maxey in their loss to the San Antonio Spurs to begin their 3-game road trip.

Every player in the NBA goes through shooting struggles. It just happens over the course of an 82-game season. A player isn't going to shoot the ball well every time out in this league.

Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey had his own struggles in Monday's 115-102 loss to the San Antonio Spurs . He was held scoreless on 0-for-4 shooting at halftime before finding a rhythm for 15 points on 6-for-12 shooting in the second half. Overall, Maxey shot 6-for-16 from the floor and 1-for-4 from deep in the loss.

He did have eight assists, but the Spurs held him in check on a night where the Sixers really needed him to get going. He does deserve some grace as he returns from a right finger tendon strain, but coach Nick Nurse doesn't believe the finger is bothering him. "I don't think so," Nurse told reporters after the loss.

"You'd have to ask him, but I don't think so. I think he just didn't get off to a great start shooting. He does it once a while, and then usually he'll bounce back.
