New manager Nick Stanley and top Milwaukee Brewers prospects are focused on winning and development for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.

Nick Stanley is excited to groom the next wave of Milwaukee Brewers talent as the first-year manager for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers . But it isn’t all about talent development for the 38-year-old Stanley. He also wants to win games.

With a roster that includes nine of Milwaukee’s top 30 prospects, according to MLB Pipeline , Stanley expects the Timber Rattlers to do plenty of winning this season. “A lot of talent, a lot of guys who are in the early stages of their career,” Stanley said about the team’s roster. “A lot of development to go, but really, really exciting.

” The Timber Rattlers didn’t win as much last season, finishing with a 56-74 record one season after going 77-54 in 2024 and advancing to the Midwest League Championship Series. Stanley, who is the 13th manager in Timber Rattlers history, was Wisconsin’s hitting coach in 2021 and 2022. He spent the 2023 season as bench coach for the Biloxi Shuckers of the Southern League before spending the last two seasons managing the Brewers’ low Class-A affiliate in Carolina.

“I look at what we do in the big leagues. We’re developing players to help win in the big leagues, right? So all those habits, I believe, start now, and I think winning games is going to follow winning habits and operating the right way,” Stanley said.
