Nebraska football target predicted to Big Ten rival

Nebraska football could be on the verge of losing a top target as Cooper Terwilliger has been predicted to flip to Penn State.

A Nebraska 2027 recruiting target is now being projected to a Big Ten rival. Four-star tight end Cooper Terwilliger received a prediction to go to Penn State by Tim Verghese of Rivals. com.

This was reported on Monday afternoon. Terwilliger is the 194th overall player in his class, the ninth overall tight end, and the top player in his class from the state of South Dakota, according to the Rivals Industry rankings. The tight end has visited Nebraska seven times, most recently doing so on November 1 for the game against the USC Trojans .

Currently, the 2027 Huskers recruiting class is still shaping up nicely. It ranks 11 th overall in the country according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. This is certainly a disappointing development.

That said, things can change quickly in recruiting. The tight end would be an offensive weapon, as he measures in at 6-foot-4, 215 pounds. It’s too early to close the door on anything when it comes to recruiting, but this is definitely something to watch.
