Former Trojan DeMar DeRozan makes NBA history
Demar DeRozan is one of the most underrated scorers in NBA history. He backed that up with a new milestone
Former USC Trojan Demar DeRozan made history again. DeRozan remains one of the more underrated scorers in NBA history. He can still, in the later stages of his career, drop 20 points on any given night.
DeRozan showed that last week by dropping 28 points versus his former team, the Toronto Raptors , on Wednesday. He also hit a clutch dagger 3-pointer to close out the game. In Year 17, it is special to see DeMar still play at a high level, even though his team, the Sacramento Kings , is awful.
DeRozan followed his Toronto performance with two lesser performances. On Friday, he had 14 points with efficient shooting, and then, most recently, he had just 9 points in 10 minutes played. In Sunday's game versus the Clippers, however, the former Trojan passed Oscar Robertson on the all-time NBA scoring list with 26,711 points.
DeMar DeRozan now moves to 16th all-time. DeRozan passes a legend in Robertson. Even with his advancing age, he remains effective when he gets a chance to be.
