Today we highlight San Marcos High junior Mila Juarez , who earned a gold medal at the UIL state wrestling meet this year in the Class 6A 120-pound division. All about Mila: A winner on the mat and in the classroom Tell something about you that most people don't know. I am just as much a noble student as I am a wrestler.

I am ranked 19th in my class, which can be substantially challenging at times due to extended training hours and tournaments. What has been your favorite vacation? It's when our family — and our whole mom's side of the family — got together to spread my Pop's ashes in Boulder, Colo.

This was my favorite vacation due to the joy it brought my cousin and I through the hardships of losing our grandpa.
