McLeary replaces McAneny in Scotland squad

Jodi McLeary played in Monday's derby as Maria McAneny missed out Rangers midfielder Jodi McLeary has replaced Celtic counterpart Maria McAneny in the Scotland squad for next week's World Cup qualifying double header against Belgium. The 21-year-old McAneny, who has two caps, missed Celtic's 3-0 derby defeat by Rangers in the Scottish Women's Premier League on Monday. McLeary, who started that game in an unfamiliar right-back role as Rangers moved up to second in the table, has played for Scotland at youth level, but the 20-year-old has yet to be capped by the senior side.

Melissa Andreatta's side host the Belgians at Easter Road Stadium in Edinburgh on Tuesday, 14 April, with the return fixture at Den Dreef Stadium in Leuven the following Saturday. The two sides have both won their opening two fixtures, with Scotland top of Europe's Group H on goal difference after easing aside Luxembourg as Belgium also won comfortably against Israel.
