🥍Game of the Day If the Moses Brown boys lacrosse team was trying to set a tone on Monday, it certainly didn't wait long to do it. The Quakers scored before anyone could break a sweat and a dominant first quarter did all the damage needed in a 19-7 win over the visiting Rebels. Griffin Carlson won the opening faceoff for Moses Brown, took it down the field and scored 10 seconds into the game.
Carlson’s dominance in the face-off circle was a problem for South Kingstown, as he won the Quakers’ possession and they made the most of each opportunity. Reece Chase scored the next two goals, making it 3-0 before the game was two minutes old. Chace’s hat trick with 9:03 left in the quarter had MB up five goals and by the midway point, the lead was seven.
The Quakers added three more and the 10-0 lead allowed them to change their style for the remaining three quarters and focus on longer, smart possessions. Chace led the Quakers with six goals and sophomore Hugo Harrell scored four times. John Cerce and Ben Magieira both had two goals in the win.
