Former Commanders draft pick retires from NFL
Dax Milne spent three seasons with Washington.
A former Washington Commanders draft pick has announced his retirement from the NFL. The Commanders , then the Washington Football Team, used a seventh-round pick on wide receiver Dax Milne in the 2021 NFL Draft. After four NFL seasons, Milne called it a career on Monday.
Milne spent three seasons with the Commanders, from 2021-23, appearing in 28 games and making two starts. He caught 15 passes for 120 yards, including one touchdown and six first downs on 21 total targets. Milne's numbers came in his first two seasons, as he was placed on season-ending injured reserve in September 2023, before Week 1, with a groin injury.
The Commanders released Milne on July 31, 2024. View this post on Instagram
