Red Sox's Willson Contreras Sends Clear Warning To Brewers
The Boston Red Sox slugger certainly doesn't sound happy with the Milwaukee Brewers.
Boston Red Sox first baseman Willson Contreras It certainly seems like there's no love lost between Boston Red Sox slugger Willson Contreras and the Milwaukee Brewers. On Monday, the Red Sox opened up a three-game series against the Brewers and there were some fireworks. Contreras stepped up to the plate in the third inning and was hit by a pitch from Brewers starter Brandon Woodruff.

But there's some history between these two. Woodruff has now hit Contreras with six pitches throughout his career to this point. Also, Contreras has been hit by 24 total pitches by the Brewers throughout his career in general.
That's pretty wild and Contreras clearly isn't happy. After the game, he sent a clear warning to Milwaukee, as transcribed by The Athletic's Jen McCaffrey . "Itโs not just the HBP, itโs the 24th pitch theyโve hit me in my career โ 24th," Contreras said.
