Alperen Sengun's late-season surge powering Houston Rockets win streak
Alperen Sengun's recent improved play has been the catalyst behind Houston's six-game win streak
It's been an up-and-down year for Alperen Sengun, but the Turkish big man has closed the season strong. Sengun's lowest point came in a blowout 129-93 loss to the Denver Nuggets on March 11, where he scored just 10 points and was a -17 in only 24 minutes. He endured plenty of criticism after the game, and the discourse only grew louder when he missed the next two games with a back injury.
Since then, however, Sengun is playing some of his best basketball of the season for the Rockets, who have ripped off six straight wins and are heading into the playoffs on an upward trajectory. Sengun's improved play Alperen Şengün in his last 11 games (after one week of injury rest): ▪️23. 2 PTS ▪️8.
1 REB ▪️6. 9 AST ▪️1. 1 STL ▪️1.
3 BLK ▪️44. 0 3P% ▪️70. 4 FT% ▪️62.
