Bemidji's Team Berg takes silver in back-to-back tournaments at Club, U20 Nationals
Apr. 6—BEMIDJI — After 18 games in 11 days, Team Berg is heading back to Bemidji with some hardware. The Bemidji Curling Club-based team, consisting of Nia Berg, Ella Willford, Solvieg Berg and Carol Chance, finished with a silver medal at both the Club National Championship in Chaska and the U20 Junior Women's National Championship in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Apr. 6—BEMIDJI — After 18 games in 11 days, Team Berg is heading back to Bemidji with some hardware. The Bemidji Curling Club-based team, consisting of Nia Berg, Ella Willford, Solvieg Berg and Carol Chance, finished with a silver medal at both the Club National Championship in Chaska and the U20 Junior Women's National Championship in Bismarck, North Dakota.
At Club Nationals March 25-29, Team Berg competed against 11 other teams from across the country. It went 3-2 in pool play, then won the quarterfinal match 9-0 in four ends and the semifinal match 9-1 in six ends. In the championship, Team Berg faced off against Team Roth, which claimed the gold medal 8-2 in six ends.
Its skip, Nina Roth, is a two-time Olympian. She was the skip for Team USA at PyeongChang in 2018 and took third in Beijing in 2022. One day after the Club Nationals Championship, Team Berg traveled to Bismarck to compete in the U20 Women's Nationals from March 30 through April 4.
