Jaylen Carey fifth Tennessee basketball player to enter transfer portal

Forward Jaylen Carey is the fifth player to enter the transfer portal for Tennessee basketball, he said via a shared Instagram post. He joins J. P.

Estrella, Bishop Boswell and Clarence Massamba as portal entries all on April 6. Cade Phillips announced on April 3 his intentions to enter the portal. Carey, a 6-foot-8 junior, averaged 7.

4 points, 6. 0 rebounds and 1. 3 assists.

He and senior Ja'Kobi Gillespie were the only two players to appear in all 37 games for Tennessee . He also started in eight games. Carey started his career at JMU, then transferred to Vanderbilt before coming to Tennessee.
