Once upon a time, the Nats had a 3-1 record, but now after losing five straight, they are 3-6. However, they are finally facing a team that is not expected to be super competitive this year. This matchup with the Cardinals will be a good measuring stick for the Nats.
James Wood has been in the leadoff spot all season, a move that finally paid off yesterday, when he hit a two out three run homer. He is back in that position today. The Nats offense has really not been the problem at all.
Luis Garcia Jr. and CJ Abrams both had great series this weekend. Daylen Lile was pretty quiet, but we know what he can do in the cleanup spot.
