Browns must avoid Jeremiyah Love for many reasons; including this one

An NFL Draft Running Back Trend that the Cleveland Browns cannot become another datapoint in.

The conversation started earlier this week about the Cleveland Browns being interested in drafting running back Jeremiyah Love with their number six pick. There are about 100 reasons why this is a horrible idea for this version of the Cleveland Browns, but thanks to the thought, there was a very interesting stat that surfaced. Love was an amazing player in his three years at Notre Dame.

When he gets the ball in his hands, he is electric and simply always finds ways to get into the endzone. He finished his career in South Bend with 2,882 yards on 433 carries, which is good for a career average of 6. 7 yards per rush.

He had 36 touchdowns on the ground and six more through the air. He is as dynamic as they come. However, since 1990, there have only been two running backs drafted in the top-10 who have won Super Bowls with the team that drafted them.

The first was Jamal Lewis, who was drafted by the Ravens with the fifth overall pick in the 2000 draft, and then they went on to win the Super Bowl that season. The second player to do it was Reggie Bush, who was selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft.
