Clifton Brown, former IndyStar writer, is being inducted into Black Sportswriters Hall of Fame

Clifton Brown has had a long career covering professional basketball and football.

Clifton Brown, who was an enterprise writer and covered the Indiana Pacers for IndyStar during a decades-long career, will be inducted into the Black Sportswriters Hall of Fame on Saturday, April 11. Brown has also worked for The New York Times, Detroit Free Press, The Sporting News and BaltimoreRavens. com.

He covered the Detroit Pistons "Bad Boys" and was the first Black golf reporter at the Times. The induction will be at the North Carolina A&T Student Center in Greensboro, North Carolina, 6 to 8:30 p. m.

Howard, former assistant managing editor for sports at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel; Rob Parker, a Fox Sports Radio host who previously worked at Newsday and Detroit Free Press, and Ron Thomas, a former USA TODAY NBA reporter.
