With nine worthy candidates who shined last week, you decide who the lohud Girls Lacrosse Player of the Week should be.
Despite a shortened schedule during the holiday week, there still were several outstanding team and individual performances. That produced for us nine candidates for Girls Lacrosse Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital. Last week’s poll winner was Sofia Conners of Somers.
Read below about what the nominees accomplished last week, then cast your votes. The poll will be open until 3 p. m.
Wednesday, April 8 and the winner will be featured on lohud sports social media accounts. Faith Brown, Pleasantville The midfielder had five goals, three assists, nine draw controls and two caused turnovers for the Panthers in a 17-8 win over Somers. LuLu Carey, Pearl River The freshman scored four goals for the Pirates in an 8-6 win over Harrison last Tuesday.
Fin Degl, John Jay-Cross River The midfielder had six goals and an assist to lead the Wolves in a 16-14 win over Wappingers last Tuesday. She also scored five goals in their 18-8 win over Mahopac. Brooke Green, Pelham The sophomore had three goals and an assist for the Pelicans in a 15-7 win over Albertus Magnus.
