The Boston Red Sox have plenty of players taking center stage, with Roman Anthony, Garrett Crochet, and in the bullpen, Aroldis Chapman and Garrett Whitlock, all being noteworthy players. But there is another reliever pitcher that Red Sox fans know well, but some other teams might not. Boston's "best-kept secret," according to Tim Kelly of Bleacher Report , is a righty reliever named Greg Weissert.

He showed up for Team Italy at the World Baseball Classic, and so far in his Red Sox career, he has been a very good reliever. He's a key component of the Boston bullpen, but isn't a household name like Chapman or a well-known reliever like Whitlock. Red Sox's Greg Weissert is 'best-kept secret' "Perhaps Greg Weissert came onto your radar as Tam Italy's closer during the World Baseball Classic," Kelly writes.

"Alex Cora has one of the top bullpen duos at his disposal with Aroldis Chapman and Garrett Whitlock. Weissert, though, is capable of taking down high-leverage innings when one of those two is unavailable. " Boston will rely on Chapman and/or Whitlock for the highest-leverage roles this season, but Weissert cannot be ignored for Boston.
