J.
Wiebusch to enter transfer portal, per source Undrafted winger put up 16-20-36 in 37 games — Mark Divver (@MarkDivver) April 6, 2026 Wiebusch had 69 points (30 goals, 39 assists) in 77 career games with Penn State. All three members of the DiMarsico-Cerrato-Wiebusch line have now departed, leaving Penn State to rebuild most of its top six with a new crop of forwards next year. This is not a completely unexpected departure, although I would have expected Wiebusch to go pro instead of entering the portal.
Wiebusch would likely have been the No. 1 winger on the roster in 2026-27, so this is a bit of a head-scratcher. Hopefully this is an aberration and not a sign of deeper structural issues within the program.
For now, I am tempering expectations for next season. They always seem to do better with lower expectations.
