m. Thursday. Becton track & field The Wildcats posted a strong showing at the Pawlowski Relays, winning the 4-x-800 relay and placing second in the 4-x-1,600 relay.
DePaul baseball The Spartans went 3-0, outscoring opponents 28-5. They started the season with a 9-5 win over defending Passaic County champion Passaic Tech. Glen Rock girls lacrosse New coach Kelsie Mania's team started 2-0 with a 10-9 win over Verona, avenging a playoff loss last year, and a 15-1 win over Holy Angels.
Mahwah softball The Thunderbirds ran their record to 4-0 with a 3-0 week in which they outscored opponents 36-4. Midland Park softball The Panthers started the season by going 3-0 and not allowing a single run, outscoring opponents 35-0. Park Ridge baseball After winning just six games last year, the Owls started the season 3-0 with one-run victories over Elmwood Park, Hasbrouck Heights and Wood-Ridge.
Passaic Tech flag football The Bulldogs had the busiest week of any team in the state and didn't miss a beat. They went 3-0 and outscored opponents 89-12. Tenafly boys lacrosse The Tigers went 3-0 with an 11-8 win on the road against defending Passaic County champion Wayne Valley.
