2026 NFL draft: Daniel Jeremiah says WR prospect possible for Jets at No. 2
NFL draft guru Daniel Jeremiah says WR prospect is possible for Jets to take at No. 2 pick.
The New York Jets are in a position to look at several different scenarios with the No. 2 overall selection at the 2026 NFL draft. Many years, the top two or three picks are already locked in well before the draft rolls around.
In 2026, only Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza is considered at lock with the top selection, leaving Gang Green to leave no stone unturned prior to the draft. Several defensive prospects have been linked to New York with their first of two Round 1 picks, but what about wide receiver Carnell Tate from Ohio State? NFL Network's draft guru Daniel Jeremiah sees it as a real possibility.
"I think he's in play at two," Jeremiah said. Jeremiah previously put his money where his mouth is. His 2026 mock draft in January included Tate mocked to the Jets at the No.
16 selection. Tate, who won the National Championship in 2024, had 51 catches, 875 yards and nine touchdowns last season. For more on Tate to the Jets, see the attached clip below: āI think Tate is in play at No.
