Well, it turns out nobody is quite ready to compete with UCLA, who won their first NCAA Women’s Championship on Sunday by obliterating South Carolina.

The Bruins avenged their only loss of the season, to Texas, in the semifinals. Congrats to Cori Close, Lauren Betts, and the whole UCLA program. Husky Football dodged a bullet with Jordan Washington recovering well from an injury that required him to be removed from the practice field by ambulance.

Washington seems to be doing well a day later. Christian Caple has updates on the RB and other notes from Day 3 of Spring Practices. Elsewhere in Spring Practice reviews, Andy Yamashita of the Seattle Times has some breakdowns of the most hotly-contested position battles on the UW depth chart.

UW Softball’s 20-game winning streak came to an end over the weekend. The Dawgs had an up-and-down road-trip, trading wins and losses with Stanford and St. Mary’s.
