2026 NFL draft: ESPN's Field Yates predicts Bills go defense in Round 1
ESPN's Field Yates makes 2026 NFL draft prediction for Bills for Round 1.
ESPN's Field Yates thinks Cashius Howell has too much potential for the Buffalo Bills to pass up on during the 2026 NFL draft. The Bills, selecting at No. 26 overall, was the player Jeremiah pinned as his pick for the team in Round 1 of this year's draft.
The reigning SEC Defensive Player of the Year, Howell has mostly dropped down draft boards simply because of his arm length. That does not make Yates shy about Howell's possibilities in Buffalo, though. "That being said, he's an excellent pass rusher," Yates said.
"I think it would be great fit for Buffalo. " Howell, a transfer from Bowling Green, had 11. 5 sacks and 14 tackles for loss in 13 games played last season with Texas A&M.
