Mary's win a Division 1 state championship in 2022 , cracked Baseball America's updated list of top 100 prospects for April, checking in at No. 97. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Irish, was primarily a catcher at Auburn, but also saw time at first base and right field in 2025 for low Single-A Delmarva.
In high Single-A Frederick's season opener Friday, Irish played first base and went 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles, an RBI and two runs scored. "Irish appears to have moved over to first base, but early returns in the spring lead evaluators to believe that he’ll have the bat to profile at the position," Baseball America senior editor Josh Norris writes .
