Mendy rejoins Real Madrid squad in training
The Frenchman will try to be 100% ready to face Bayern in the return leg.
Real Madrid left-back Ferland Mendy rejoined the group in Monday’s training session after recovering from the muscle injury he suffered during the first leg of the Champions League’s Round of 16 against Manchester City. Mendy will try to ramp up, improve his conditioning and potentially make his return for the second leg of the Quarterfinals against Bayern, which will be played on April 15th. Mendy has been injury prone for years now, so the coaching staff will surely take a cautious approach now that he’s almost ready to make his return.
Midfielder Dani Ceballos trained with the rest of the squad as well and could even be available for tomorrow’s match against Bayern, although it seems clear that he will not be ready to play relevant minutes after such an extended absence.
