Bucs add defensive line depth ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft

Yahoo Sports

The Bucs continue to add to their defensive front seven in free agency.

The Bucs defensive front seven has been a primary area of concern for the team heading into the offseason. General manager Jason Licht has been aggressive in adding depth and future starters to the groups such as linebacker Alex Anzalone and defensive lineman A'Shawn Robinson. But now he is bringing back in a familiar face to the team.

Over the weekend, the Bucs added free agent defensive lineman Rakeem Nunez-Roches to their unit. He spent the last three seasons with the New York Giants after being with the Bucs from 2018 to 2022. Before all those stops, he was with the Kansas City Chiefs after being drafted in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

It is worth adding that there were no terms of the deal disclosed. He has played in a total of 142 games in his career and racked up 233 total tackles across those games. He also added 20 tackles for a loss, nine sacks, and 23 QB hits.
