McIlroy is pulling out all the stops for his Champions Dinner this week.

Rory McIlroy is pulling out all of the stops for his Champions Dinner at Augusta National on Tuesday. Considering how long it took him to actually secure his Masters win, it makes perfect sense. McIlroy is the host for the annual Champions Dinner at Augusta National this week, an honor that is bestowed each spring to the winner from the previous year.

The menu was his to create as he wishes, and past winners are all invited to make the trek to the course for the annual pre-tournament dinner whether they are competing in the major championship or not. So, what is on the menu for Tuesday night? Let’s break it down: Rory McIlroy’s Champions Dinner menu Appetizers Peach and Ricotta Flatbread Balsamic, Hot Honey, Basil Rock Shrimp Tempura Creamy Spicy Sauce Bacon-Wrapped Dates Goat Cheese, Almonds Grilled Elk Sliders Caramelized Onion Jam, Roasted Garlic Aioli First Course Yellowfin Tuna Carpaccio Foie Gras, Toasted Baguette, Chives Main Course Choice of: Wagyu Filet Mignon or Seared Salmon Traditional Irish Champ, Sauteed Brussels Sprouts, Glazed Carrots with Butter Brown, Crispy Vidalia Onion Rings Dessert Sticky Toffee Pudding Vanilla Ice Cream and Warm Toffee Sauce Drinks 2015 Salon “S,” Brut, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Champagne 2022 Domaine Leflaive, Batard-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Burgundy 1990 Chateau Lafite Rothschild, Pauillac, Bordeaux 1989 Chateau d’Yquem, Sauternes, Bordeaux McIlroy addressed his menu earlier this spring , and revealed some of the reasoning behind some of his choices.

The Elk sliders, for example, was a nod to something he was doing ahead of his Masters win. “In the buildup to the Masters last year, I was eating a lot of elk,” McIlroy said . “I got this big shipment of elk and I was eating a lot of that.

I didn't want elk to be the main course, because I didn't know if everyone would like that, so I incorporated it into the appetizers. ” He picked out the 1990 Chateau Lafite Rothschild wine for a very specific reason, too. “That is the wine that I drank the night that I won the Masters,” McIlroy said, “so obviously [it] brings back some great memories.
