Yankees’ Jazz Chisholm Jr Downplays Mistake After Aaron Boone Call Out
The New York Yankees’ star infielder dismissed the issue as “no big deal” after some public comments from his manager.

Most recently, that included some pointed comments from manager Aaron Boone after star infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. committed a surprising mental error.
In Saturday’s game against the Miami Marlins, Chisholm was playing back on a ninth-inning grounder from Otto Lopez that should have resulted in an out, but ended up being a hit because of the second baseman’s inexplicable nonchalance. “Fundamentally, he was fine with it. He’s just got to be a little more aware of the guy getting down the line. It’s a play we’ve got to make.
