After an exciting start to the high school baseball season, it's time to look back on the best performances. Read about the players who stood out last week and let us know who you think should be the Morris/Sussex Player of the Week in the poll at the bottom of this page. Voting closes at 5 p.

m. Thursday. Nick Dโ€™Amico, Mount Olive D'Amico Collected four hits in seven at-bats with four RBIs, one run and a triple in two games.

Jacob Diaz, Sparta The senior two-way standout combined for 22 strikeouts and allowed just two runs in 12 innings pitched. Tossed a complete game, no-hitter with 13 strikeouts and recorded his 100th career strikeout. Went 5-for-14 at the plate with a double, three RBIs, five runs and three stolen bases in four games.

Josh Hale, Jefferson Hale collected five hits, seven runs, three RBIs and a home run in four games. The seniorโ€™s first home run of the season broke the school record for career hits in a 10-4 win over Butler on April 4. Manit Patel, Parsippany Hills The senior pitcher allowed just one earned run, four hits and five strikeouts and earned a win in a combined 5โ…“ innings in two games.

Luca Rastello, Wallkill Valley Rastello went a combined 6-for-14 with five RBIs and two walks in three games last week. Had three hits in four at-bats and two RBIs in a comeback win verse Blair Academy. Also closed out two games in a relief role on the mound.
