PSV breeze to Eredivisie title number 27 PSV and Utrecht played out a seven-goal thriller as the Eindhoven side finally confirmed themselves as champions of the Eredivisie. Title number 27 had always been a matter of when, not if, and it took a 94th-minute goal from substitute Couhaib Driouech to earn them three points against FC Utrecht and allow Peter Bosz and his side to celebrate in style. The side has won the title for a second consecutive season, this time with fewer than 30 games played.

Feyenoord, in second, are still 17 points behind them as PSV have breezed to the title. After being pushed all the way by Ajax last season, this years title was far easier for PSV. After winning the 2017/2018 Eredivisie title, PSV went on to finish second in the next four season, only finally finishing top again during the 2023/2024 season.

They have now gone on to win three in a row and are the clear dominant force in Dutch football. Their usual rivals, Ajax and Feyenoord, have had poor seasons in comparison. However, PSV did in fact start the season poorly, and it looked at one point like Feyenoord would be able to push them all the way for the title.

Yet Robin van Persieโ€™s side fell away as PSV got stronger as the season went on, coasting to yet another title. With 27 titles to their name, PSV still have some way to go to catch Ajax who sit on 36 titles. Given the state of the side in Amsterdam at the moment, PSV fans will be confident that their side can claw back another one or two titles in the time it takes Ajax to add to their lead.
