The top prospects in this month's 2026 NFL Draft continue to meet with teams, and the Kansas City Chiefs have worked with many of them over the past few weeks. One of the many players confirmed to attend a meeting was Oregon Ducks tight end Kenyon Sadiq, who recently revealed a surprising encounter with a Chiefs superstar. Sadiq, during an interview with Sports Illustrated Oregon Ducks reporter Bri Amaranthus, revealed that he had visited the Chiefs beforehand and met Travis Kelce, on the same day the eleven-time Pro Bowler signed his new contract extension.
"It was awesome, just kind of a moment of realization, like, this is the NFL," said Sadiq, "He's a super down-to-earth person, He's not going to try to ego you by any means. I think that's pretty rare, especially being the celebrity or caliber that he's at. It was really cool.
He's a cool guy. " Sadiq had one of the best days ever by a tight end during this year's Combine: 40-Yard Dash: 4. 39 was the best by a tight end, Vertical Jump: 43.
5" was the second-best ever by a tight end, and the Broad Jump: 11'1" was third-best ever by a tight end. In 2025, Sadiq finished with 51 receptions for 560 yards and eight touchdowns. He was named First-team All-Big Ten and earned Big Ten Tight End of the Year honors.
