A Philadelphia Eagles beat writer has pegged quarterback Tanner McKee as a trade candidate and the Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams are three teams that could conceivably have interest.

The Philadelphia Eagles have a clear trade candidate and we could see him landing with the Pittsburgh Steelers , Green Bay Packers or Los Angeles Rams .

That trade candidate is quarterback Tanner McKee, who The Athletic's Zach Berman expects to be moved at some point. Berman's expectation comes from the fact that the Eagles recently acquired Andy Dalton in a trade with the Carolina Panthers , a move that didn't make much sense since McKee was already tabbed to be the backup to Jalen Hurts. "Iโ€™d argue that it doesnโ€™t make sense to have a 38-year-old Dalton as the third quarterback, and still think the Eagles could flip McKee for a future pick, although the quarterback chairs are quickly filling up," Berman wrote.

Tanner McKee trade makes sense for Eagles Imagn Images We agree with Berman here. While it's not expensive to keep both players, it would be odd to see the Eagles do so after McKee hasn't clearly given the team a reason to ditch him as the QB2. When we have seen McKee on the field, the 25-year-old has shown promise, and so much so that rumors suggest he has drawn trade interest around the league as recently as this offseason.

We tend to believe the Eagles signing Dalton is a strong hint that Philly will act on that interest and move McKee in due time, perhaps around the 2026 NFL Draft.
