Will Michigan have Yaxel Lendeborg for the national title game?

Will Michigan have superstar forward Yaxel Lendeborg for Monday night's NCAA men's national title game in Indianapolis against UConn? According to ESPN's Pete Thamel , Michigan trainer Chris Williams said he's "very optimistic" about Lendeborg playing in the national championship despite having a low-grade MCL sprain and a small bone bruise in his knee. Lendeborg left part of Saturday's Final Four game against Arizona but later returned.

Michigan coach Dusty May said on Sunday he expected Lendeborg to play . Lendeborg has also been adamant he's not missing the game. The fact that he's not listed on the injury report essentially confirms he's good to right now.

Barring a last-minute setback, Lendeborg will be out there to help the Wolverines contend. Michigan trainer Chris Williams told ESPN the MRI on Yaxel Lendeborg’s knee looks “very clean structurally, all the ligaments are very strong. ” He says Lendeborg has a “low-grade” MCL sprain and a “small bone bruise” in his knee.
