They're hoping they won't be without Addison Barger too long as the Los Angeles Dodgers are next on the schedule. It's a rematch of the epic World Series from the fall, and fans of both ballclubs will be pumped. Barger will be working to get back on the field.
The lefty slugger left Sunday's game against the White Sox with what the Blue Jays called "bilateral ankle discomfort. " After the game, Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters , "Hopefully he's all right. Hopefully it's just a day or two, or maybe not even a day.

But if he's going to be injured, missing just a couple days in April would be much preferred to missing more time and later in the season. Maybe an absence would allow Barger to reset a little bit anyway.
