Wisconsin's Caroline Harvey attends historic PWHL game

Wisconsin Badgers women's hockey player Caroline Harvey was in attendance for the PWHL takeover at the world's most famous arena. The Professional Women's Hockey League continues to build momentum in its third season. The PWHL currently has eight teams, four in the United States and four in Canada.

A record crowd of 18,006 packed Madison Square Garden to see the New York Sirens take on the Seattle Torrent. Officially, it's the highest attended professional women's hockey game in the US. Harvey spoke with New York Rangers reporter Lydia Pirner about her experience and what being in that environment meant to her.

"A lot of us when we were younger were like we want to maybe play in the NHL because we didn’t know if there would be a pro league," Harvey said . "Now to look at this, that this is the future, and for little girls to be able to look up to this, so happy that they have that. ” The 2026 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award winner is now not only an Olympic gold medalist but a two-time National Champion as well.

She has more accolades than any collegiate athlete and is a future superstar in the PWHL.
