Kaseem Watson declares for transfer portal, latest to leave UTEP men’s
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Kaseem Watson has declared for the transfer portal, leaving UTEP men’s basketball program after one season with the Miners. The 6-foot-9 forward average 12. 5 points and five rebounds per game in 2025-2026, notching a season high 25 points against FIU.
Watson took on a big role for the Miners program last season, particularly stepping up in key moments to build momentum for the team. Watson declares for the portal ahead of his senior year. The forward becomes the 5th player from UTEP men’s to announce their departure – joining Caleb Blackwell, Trey Horton III, LA Hayers and KJ Thomas in leaving El Paso.
