Brooks received the technical in the fourth quarter as Phoenix took a 120-110 win over Chicago. He received his 17th technical foul against the Orlando Magic last Tuesday.
Brooks served a one-game suspension earlier this season after picking up his 16th technical foul, a penalty under league rules that triggers an automatic ban. Losing Brooks, even for one game, would once again test the Suns’ depth as one of their tone-setters would be unavailable to contribute. With the playoffs just around the corner, Phoenix needs to win as many games as possible to remain in contention for a spot or the play-in tournament. It is not just Phoenix that relies on his contributions; Brooks is also trying to find his footing after returning from injury.
