But the shortstop phenom is also keeping some Hall of Fame company in the early going. Griffin has reached base in his first three games played in the major leagues while still a teenager (he doesn't turn 20 until later this month). The last three teenagers to reach base in each of their first three games all made the Hall of Fame, according to Pirates radio host Dan Zangrilli .
Adrian Beltre accomplished the feat in 1998. Andruw Jones made it happen in 1996. And Ivan 'Pudge' Rodriguez did it in 1991.
