Will Puka Nacua play for the Los Angeles Rams in 2026?
After checking himself into rehab, will Puka Nacua be ready to play for the Rams next season?
It has been a rough few months for Puka Nacua of the Los Angeles Rams . Although he had the best season of his young career, almost winning Offensive Player of the Year and leading the Rams to the NFC Championship, things started to unravel after losing to the Seattle Seahawks in that game. He's been caught up in numerous disputes, caught out drunk late into the night, and even had his head coach, Sean McVay, say that, while he believes in Nacua, he needs to straighten up if he wants to be a longtime member of the Rams.
And most recently, TMZ reported that Nacua was found coming out of a rehabilitation center in Los Angeles, trying to get himself better after a New Year's where he was caught on video from bystanders running around amok on the streets. The question many are asking is whether Nacua will be cleared to play for the Rams this season. The answer, provided by his representation, stated that it was Nacua's own decision to go to rehab and that he has full expectations of being ready for training camp and the start of the 2026 NFL season.
Nacua is up for an extension, and though it was rumored months ago that getting a big-money deal done for the superstar wide receiver would be a priority, that might have changed in light of recent transgressions. Still, Nacua is seen as a long-term part of the Rams team, and he is projected to be ready when Los Angeles travels to Australia to play the first-ever NFL regular season game in the country against NFC West rival San Francisco.
