The filing, obtained by Us Weekly on Sunday, April 5, states that “the parents of the children are separated,” legally confirming the couple’s split shortly after PEOPLE first confirmed that the Dallas Cowboys quarterback and his fiancée had broken up. It next states that “the appointment of the parents as joint managing conservators would be in the best interest of the children. It is in the best interest of the children that [Prescott and Ramos] be appointed joint managing conservators of the children.

” Per the filing, Prescott and Ramos would be unable to remove their daughters from Texas without the written permission of the other parent, according to Us Weekly . The football player also requests that the exes avoid any communication involving “vulgar, profane, obscene or indecent language,” per the outlet. An initial hearing was scheduled for the case, but the former couple decided to postpone it, instead hoping to resolve their issues outside of the courtroom, their lawyers say.
